Radio Projects
Radio as an artform has an ability to create a sense of community amongst a disparate and geographically isolated set of listeners, whilst generating the excitement and energy implicit in a live broadcast. Many of the radio projects I have been involved with have addressed specific communities, be it artists and musicians, inhabitants of a particular locality or even barbers and hairdressers. As well as initiating several RSL community stations (Bolt FM, Efford FM, Hair Waves) I was also instrumental in setting up Glasgow's first pirate art radio station (Radio Tuesday) with Alex Frost and Duncan Campbell. Currently I am artist in residence at Forth Valley Hospital developing new work with their hospital radio station, Radio Royal. 'Radiophrenia', a brand new art radio station will be broadcasting across Glasgow for the duration of GI 2012.To hear more about some of these projects click on the links either below or to the left or visit the 'News' section for the latest updates.
